ABOUT CLAIMSTERS

The estimating and supplement team behind the contractor.

WHO WE ARE

A contractor's estimating and supplement team, not another handoff.

Built around the repair scope, the supporting records and the contractor's workflow.

Claimsters is the estimating and supplement team that roofing and general contracting companies use when the carrier's estimate does not appear to reflect the documented repair scope. We rebuild estimates in Xactimate, prepare supplements, organize supporting records, submit the contractor's repair scope and follow the file through the carrier's response.

Contractors can bring us one file or an ongoing claim volume. The work can be arranged around individual estimates, a residential or commercial desk, a monthly retainer or a storm-surge retainer. The agreed workload and responsibilities are confirmed before work begins.

Our team draws on perspectives from the public-adjusting, labor and contractor sides. We use that experience to focus on the details a reviewer needs to evaluate: scope, quantities, regional pricing, building-code requirements, manufacturer instructions and the evidence behind each item.

We do not negotiate insurance settlements, interpret policy coverage or exclusions, or advocate for homeowners. Our work stays focused on the contractor's estimate and repair scope.

HOW WE APPROACH THE WORK

Three disciplines guide every file.

Estimating, documentation and follow-through work together. A complete file needs more than a total at the bottom of a page.

01

Build the repair scope

Review the carrier estimate, measurements, photographs and project information. Rebuild the estimate line by line around the documented work.

Explore Xactimate Estimating
02

Support the line items

Connect applicable quantities and estimate items to labelled photos, measurement reports, local code references and manufacturer requirements.

03

Keep the file moving

Record submissions, responses and deadlines. Follow up on open files each week and give the contractor a status update.

THREE FILE PIPELINES

Different starting points. The same evidence-led process.

Every file is reviewed according to its current stage. The stage determines what information is gathered, what scope is prepared and what follow-up may be appropriate.

01DENIED

Denied files

When the carrier has declined the claim or approved no exterior work, we review the denial and available inspection records, gather relevant damage evidence and prepare the documented repair scope.

  • Slope and elevation-labelled photos
  • Date-of-loss weather verification
  • Third-party measurements
  • Manufacturer requirements
Denial and Partial Denial Support
03SUPPLEMENTAL

Supplemental files

When an estimate exists but appears to leave out documented work, we compare the scope, quantities and applicable requirements, then prepare line items supported by the project records.

  • Measurement and quantity differences
  • Code-required components, where applicable
  • Concealed damage records
  • Detach and reset or labor items, when supported

FROM INTAKE TO CARRIER RESPONSE

A clear workflow, with a record at every stage.

We work under the contractor's authorization and keep the contractor informed as the file moves through review, submission and follow-up.

01

Open the file

Receive the carrier estimate or denial letter, project photographs, measurement report and contractor authorization.

02

Review the scope

Compare the existing estimate with measurements, photographs and the repair work documented by the contractor.

03

Build the estimate

Prepare the agreed estimate in Xactimate or Symbility and verify the relevant regional price list and date for insurance-related work.

04

Organize the evidence

Connect applicable line items to photos, measurements, local code information and manufacturer instructions.

05

Submit and respond

When submission support is selected, send the contractor's estimate and supporting documents, then respond in writing to questions about estimate items.

06

Follow up and update

Log submissions, responses and deadlines. Open files receive weekly follow-up and a status update to the contractor.

WHAT SUPPORTS THE ESTIMATE

Evidence first. Every applicable line should be explainable.

Documentation depends on the property, the reported damage and the scope being estimated. We identify what is relevant to the file rather than treating every item as universal.

01

Carrier price-list context

Use the same regional price list as the carrier's estimate and verify the applicable list and date for insurance-related work.

02

Photographs tied to the scope

Organize photos by slope, elevation or work area and connect images to the estimate items they support.

03

Measurements and quantities

Use third-party measurement reports and project dimensions to check quantities and documented work areas.

04

Local code information

Check the locally adopted code edition, amendments and relevant sections for the property's jurisdiction.

05

Manufacturer instructions

Reference product-specific installation requirements when they apply to the documented work.

06

Additional loss documentation

Where relevant, include weather verification, dated concealed-damage photos and same-day moisture readings.

WHAT WE DO

Contractors can use one service for an individual file or combine support around the team's ongoing workload.

PROJECTS AND LOSS TYPES

Roofing is a starting point. The process can support other repair scopes.

When a loss produces a repair scope that needs to be estimated and documented, Claimsters can review whether the assignment fits its services.

01

Storm and exterior damage

Hail, wind, tornado, hurricane and tropical storm damage, lightning, and fallen trees or limbs affecting roofs, siding and fences.

02

Snow, ice and freeze

Snow-load damage, ice dams, related interior water damage and freeze damage such as burst pipes.

03

Fire and smoke

Structural fire repair, smoke and soot cleaning, and the reconstruction scope that follows.

04

Water and mitigation

Water damage from roof leaks, appliances or pipes, plus documented extraction, drying, demolition and antimicrobial work.

05

Commercial and exterior trades

Commercial roofing and building losses, along with supported scopes involving siding, windows, painting, fencing and related exterior work.

HOW WE FIT INTO YOUR BUSINESS

We work within the contractor's business, with its authorization.

The contractor hires Claimsters as an estimating and supplement resource. For each assignment, the contractor authorizes the work and provides a company email address for file correspondence where that workflow is used.

Messages are limited to the contractor's estimate and repair scope, supporting documents, evidence, building-code references and manufacturer requirements. The contractor remains informed and can see the file communication through its mailbox.

One consistent contractor-side record.Submissions, carrier responses, deadlines and weekly follow-ups are recorded so the contractor can track file status.
