● Estimating and supplement support for contractors
Xactimate estimating, evidence-backed supplement documentation, and file follow-through for roofing and general contractors.
The Claimsters approach
Claimsters works as the contractor's estimating and supplement team. We review the carrier's estimate, rebuild the repair scope in Xactimate, prepare evidence-backed supplements, submit the documented scope, respond to estimate questions in writing and follow the file until the carrier issues a revised estimate.
Each applicable line item is tied to project photographs, measurements, the relevant local building-code edition and amendments, or manufacturer installation instructions. We confirm the carrier's regional price list and its date before rebuilding the estimate.
The contractor engages Claimsters to work within its business. With the contractor's authorization, we work through its company email and write as the contractor about its own estimate and repair scope. Open files receive weekly follow-up, with status updates to the contractor.

Exact documents depend on the file and the information available.
Uses the illustrative planning rates in the Claimsters overview: $800 per roofing square in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and $650 per square in other states; $25 per linear foot for aluminum siding and $14.90 for vinyl. Specialty bid items receive a 43% markup before overhead and profit. For example, a $10,000 bid becomes $14,300 after markup and $17,160 after applicable 10% overhead and 10% profit. The calculator is not a carrier price list or a promise of approval or payment. Actual estimates use the same applicable regional price list as the carrier.

How we work
The contractor engages Claimsters as a company to support its own estimating and supplement workflow. With the contractor's authorization, Claimsters works through the contractor's company email and writes as the contractor about the contractor's estimate, evidence and repair scope.
Our work is to document, submit and explain the repair scope. We do not negotiate insurance settlements, interpret policy coverage or exclusions, or advocate for homeowners. Those matters remain with the homeowner's public adjuster or attorney where engaged. State requirements are checked for each new assignment.
Selected documented case files
These anonymized examples show how measurements, product documentation and line-item estimate detail were used in specific files.
Explore the case studies →ROOF REPLACEMENT · OHIO
The original estimate allowed repair of 30 damaged shingles across four slopes. A product identification report documented that the shingle was discontinued and no matching product was available. The carrier then approved a full roof replacement.
The follow-on supplement items remained under review at the time of the case update.
SIDING SUPPLEMENT · MARYLAND
The carrier had approved $9,386.40 in replacement cost and denied part of the siding scope. A supplemental estimate addressed the front, right and rear elevations and applied the depreciation treatment requested by the desk adjuster.
The carrier used the submitted estimate as the settlement document, with depreciation applied. Claimsters' role was estimate preparation and documentation, not settlement negotiation.
SOLAR DETACH & RESET · MARYLAND
The supplement documented detach and reset of 27 solar panels and their mounting hardware. The carrier also accepted removal of a second shingle layer.
Overhead and profit remained open at the time of the latest status update. The logged amount is not presented as received or finally paid.
These selected, anonymized case studies describe individual file outcomes. Carrier decisions, project facts and supporting evidence vary from one assignment to another.
