Check the quantities
Compare roofing squares, linear footage and other measured quantities against the available measurement report. Confirm that the estimate describes the work the contractor expects to perform.
Check repair items and associated work
Depending on the project, items for review might include starter, drip edge, ice barrier, detach and reset work, debris handling, steep or high roof conditions, labor minimums and concealed damage documented during tear-off. These items are not automatically applicable to every file.
Verify the pricing basis
Confirm the regional price list and its date. Specialty items may require separate bids instead of standard per-unit pricing. Any markup and overhead or profit assumptions must match the specific estimate and agreed methodology.
Make the evidence easy to follow
Connect each disputed or missing line to the relevant photograph, measurement, code provision or manufacturer instruction. Confirm that references apply to the property and work in question.
